Please try the following: Thursday, May 14, 2009helloooo all. I've moved to rixen87.livejournal.com not a very creative name I know, but what the hell. Till again. Cannot Find Server at 21:31 |
First time ever, that I'm in school on a saturday. NUS that is. Just kinda had my group meeting for some project, and now I'm mugging in the library. Forgot my jacket, so I'm prepared to freeze my ass off when it starts raining, judging by the gloomy skies. Ah.. how can this day get any worse? Maybe it can, by just looking at my horribly thick bio text. It's like wading through thick mud, or fudge, whichever's thicker and murkier. So give me strength, time and attention span to get work done. Uni uni, making my brain feel so puny. Till again.

Just came back from elections. All I've to say, is that I kinda wasted my time. Never have I seen an election where the candidate could be absent, and an email could be read on behalf, and still get elected. How fair is that, to the others who had to be grilled? Also, I was wondering when they were asking questions, for the candidates, if they knew what the words coming out of their mouths meant, cos I sure didn't. It was empty, lacking in substance, and they might as be commenting on the weather and it wouldn't have made a difference. Seriously, this whole election thingy started out so pompous and even a little promising, but it just deflated and became just a show and how others could try to sound smart and intellectual but fail. Then again, like how we were discussing, and agreed really, that elections, are just a popularity contest. Like how one mention of being in the final year of university, and another personal attack could turn the tide so much. Sigh, I wonder if I'm making the right decision to stay for one more sem. Till again.

So many of my nus friends in the wind symphony seemed to have such a great time for the concert, I felt almost guilty I didn't enjoy myself as much. Can't help that I'm not as bonded to the band as I am to Temasek Winds Alumni can I? But there were moments I enjoyed myself, rare ones though. Anyway, I'm been busy with school, yet I've been trying to do much other stuff non-school related. Procrastination much this sem, and I can see my "goal" of pulling my cap to a "4" is slipping away. Bummer. Went for TWE's band camp, and well, it was unprepared but I'm glad the rest did a great job with the walk. I do try and promise to do a better one if I've the chance. Since Ju want's a post dedicated to her, here goes, esp she's feeling down the weather: I LOVE JU!! Hahahah! Aiya, see, if you be my girlfriend, I'd fly over to meet you and surprise you lor. Actually, I would do it too if you're not my girlfriend, just that I need to be damn rich. Hahah, I swear you're damn missed by all of us, me included of course. We hardly have a day without a conversation with your name cropping up. That's how much we think about you! I have your picture of you and me on my desk, but that's just making me sound creepy isn't it. Hahah. Lemme find some photo of you to post.... ![]() Na, my favourite photos of you. Hahaha. Take care Ju. Till again.

Recess! is over. And I guess it's the best I had. I admit, I made alot of mistakes playing, and the music was not perfect. But it's what it stood for and meant that was most important. It was the journey, it was the process, it was the people, and it was all who came and gave their support. I've never been happier, and I'm extremely grateful to have all my people giving me the support I forgot to tell everyone this, but here it is. Truthfully, every Saturday morning, I wake up feeling like crap, at 6 or 7 am, cos I had to open the doors. But the moment I reach the room and meet the people, I immediately feel it's totally worth it. Yeah, my friday nights are limited because of this, but I'm not complaining. Every single hour of every Saturday for the past year, it's worth it. I'm glad that you guys have been a part of it, so thanks once again. =) I'll upload the pictures another day. I'm getting very lazy. Till again. Cannot Find Server at 04:28 |

Doing project. at 3 am. Chanced upon this: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/blog/editors_corner/article/18968/ Britain's most unfortunate namesWed Feb 25 01:37PMYou've got to ask yourself what kind of parents name their child Doug Hole. They either have a very wicked sense of humour or they didn't really think it through properly. ---------------------------------------------------Either way, they're not alone; a study has revealed the most unfortunate names in the UK and joining Doug Hole on the list are Justin Case, Hazel Nutt and Stan Still. The list of names was uncovered by researchers from parenting group TheBabyWebsite.com after trawling through telephone records. Retired RAF airman Stan Still, 76, from Gloucestershire, has said his name has been a "blooming millstone around my neck my entire life. "When I was in the RAF my commanding officer used to shout ‘Stan Still, get a move on' and roll about laughing," he said. "It got hugely boring after a while." Mr Hole of Penrith, Cumbria, did not want to comment on his name. "I don't want to be involved just because I have an unusual name," he said. However Rose Bush from Coventry said: "I love my name. I always get comments about it but they are always very positive." A spokesperson for TheBabyWebsite said: "Parents need to think carefully when choosing names for their children. "Their name will be with them for life and what may be quirky and fun for a toddler might be regretted terribly when that person becomes older or even a grandparent perhaps." Here's the full list of unfortunate names from the UK: Stan Still, Helen Back, Doug Hole, Terry Bull, Tim Burr, Rose Bush, Pearl Button, Will Power, Barry Cade, Mary Christmas, Chris Cross, Teresa Green, Ray Gunn, Jo King, Sonny Day, Justin Case, Lee King and Max Power. A similar search in the US found these: Bill Board, Anna Prentice, Annette Curtain and my personal favourite Carrie Oakey. HAHAH. Like Tirami Su for Justin, and Rambu Tan for me. Till again. Last week in pictures. Studying!![]() My lovely juniors. Craaazzzyyy.Well done, I officially wasted my day away. And that's the start of my recess week. Woohooooo. I really think, the world's greatest invention, is the toilet plumbing system. A good one at least. Having a clean working toilet, when you're having the runs, is bliss. And speaking of bliss/toilets, it reminds me of Slumdog Millionaire. "Amitabh Bachan!" Catch it if you haven't, by the way. I realise hor, that I 've been out of a relationship so long, that I might know how to get into one anymore! Or what to do in one anymore. My gosh, it's kinda scary to think of it. Pft. Anyway, let's try to redeem my day by trying to read some notes for NM. Till again. Cannot Find Server at 21:24 |
